Sensation of a Soft Object Underfoot in an Apartment
Anyway, guys, I'm sick of this. Help me find some info or something like that. Every now and then in my apartment I step on something soft. It's not a cat/carpet or an ordinary object, no. It happens in completely different corners of the apartment, more often when it's dark. Sometimes it seems like my head is already leaking and I'm imagining things, but I feel it distinctly. Under my feet it's like some kind of ball of medium size, but the moment I look down, I find nothing. Maybe it's some kind of domovoi?

Possible ordinary explanations
Suggested by the editor, not the witness. Not a verdict.
- A neurological or sensory perception issue (e.g., paresthesia) causing phantom tactile sensations
- A small object or pet moving out of sight before the person looks down
- A psychological effect such as heightened attention to random sensations in the dark
