Figure in a Black Cloak in a Rented Apartment

So the NEH has been getting to me for almost a month.
Right now I'm bailing out of the house to sleep at my friends', because staying in the apartment is not an option.
Here's the deal. I live in a rented place with the landlord's cat. A month ago I saw in the glass, in the reflection, a silhouette in a black cloak with claws, standing in the doorway of the room. Turned around — empty, of course. That was the first encounter.
The second time the NEH was seen by a friend who showed up to crash. I wasn't there. He says he woke up because of footsteps around the apartment. A scared cat flew into the room. The footsteps stopped in the doorway and didn't go further. After that my friend didn't sleep.
There was a lull for a week but yesterday, while putting on my shoes, I noticed a gray shadow the size of a cat at the level of my knees. But the real kicker is that the cat seeing me off immediately bristled and lunged after the shadow. I didn't sleep at home.
Coming back today from classes I found a scared cat that wouldn't leave my side. The NEH showed itself an hour later — something creaked under the countertop in the kitchen. The cat is not to blame, it was clinging to me and hissing at the table. Then, while I was washing up, again with the cat, I heard doors slamming around the apartment. The cat looked like a hedgehog. No point really talking about rustling bags, but the last straw was the reflection of the NEH from the window in the tablet screen. It stood behind my back and the cat lying next to me pinned its ears back and stared at it point-blank.
While I was getting dressed I almost became a victim of the cat — the beast was jumping from the floor aiming for my eyes.
Tomorrow I have to go back but I don't think I can do it alone
