Missing Phone Found Inside Couch Cushion
Notestrong language
My phone went missing and we couldn't find it for months. Then I moved out of my mom's to go to my dad's for college. My mom's friend was sitting on our couch and a phone started ringing. She took apart the couch the normal way, lifting cushions, feeling in cracks, etc. The phone kept ringing and she isolated the sound to emanating from one cushion. Only problem was, it didn't unzip. My mom and her friend cut into this cushion with a box cutter and inside of the foam part, my phone was in there. Like the couch cushion was built around it. There was no way for it to be in there but it was.

Possible ordinary explanations
Suggested by the editor, not the witness. Not a verdict.
- The phone may have slipped through a gap in the couch frame and gradually worked its way into the cushion stuffing over time.
- Someone in the household may have hidden the phone inside the cushion as a prank or by accident.
- The cushion may have had a hidden opening or tear that allowed the phone to enter and was later sealed or overlooked.
