Nighttime wailing of a girl's voice outside the window in the village of Kresty
Notestrong language
When I was little, I lived in the village of Kresty near Solnechnogorsk, Moscow Oblast. And my window faced the backyard, behind it there was a lake, and beyond the lake not far was a forest (roughly, I've lived in the same place for about 20 years).
One night I'm lying there trying to fall asleep, and from outside the window I clearly hear a girl's voice wailing something like "Papa don't, don't please" and all that kind of stuff. And there's no reply at all, just a frightened voice wailing in a monologue.
I ran to get my mom, she comes into the room and silence, classic. She leaves — after a while the wailing starts again. So I ran to get my mom a couple of times before I was told in no uncertain terms, with profanity, to go to sleep. Somehow I fell asleep to that shit and nothing like it ever happened again.
