Teen Practiced Assyro-Sumerian Magic; Neighbors Heard Footsteps and Saw Shadows
As a teenager I was into sorcery, I was summoning some entities from Assyro-Sumerian mythology, red pepala. Why from there? Well, I just figured the older it is, the closer to the truth. And a book on Akkadian magical rituals happened to come my way.
Anyway, afterwards both the neighbors and my parents spent several days discussing that something was walking around the apartments at night. Some heard heavy footsteps in an empty room, others saw strange shadows at night, etc. One old lady was going to call a priest, but it all just kind of disappeared on its own.
So yeah, I didn't see anything myself. And nobody knew about my hobbies, of course.

Possible ordinary explanations
Suggested by the editor, not the witness. Not a verdict.
- Neighbors' reports could be explained by shared suggestion or rumor spreading after someone mentioned strange noises.
- Heavy footsteps and shadows at night may have mundane sources such as pipes, settling sounds, or ordinary people moving around.
- The timing with the narrator's rituals could be coincidence, as no one else knew about them.
