Footsteps at a construction site and a found bone
Notementions deathstrong language
In 2008-9 I worked on the construction of a house. At night the guards heard someone walking on the floor above. But going up there, obviously, they were too scared shitless. Because they knew it was impossible to get into the building — all the windows on the first floor were installed, breaking in would make noise. And the entrance was closed by an iron door.
And there was nothing to steal there anyway, and the place is a dead end, there's nowhere for random passersby to come from.
One guard just got drunk and slept, the other sat there scared all night. The funniest thing is that in the ceilings/floors there were holes for future heating, and the shuffling footsteps had almost a surround-sound effect.
The foreman knew about this shit, and the other builders too. A few years before that, a buried corpse had been found on that spot, and everyone blamed it on his ghost. They even gave him a name, lol.
In the end, around April 2009, closer to the end of construction, real hell broke loose. We started deepening the basement with shovels, and suddenly at one moment the lights went out, and at the same time one of the helpers started yelling that he'd found some bone. The bone turned out to be human, apparently from the arm of that dead man. Maybe that's why he was bothering the guards.
I wheedled it out of the guy and put it aside in my bag in the utility room (I wanted to record a couple of sound samples with it and bury it at some cemetery), and from that moment the troubles began.
First a brick fell from somewhere above, almost killing the helper. Then a tractor cut the cable that powered the whole street. After that the guys started moving the fence, and it almost killed someone (split his head open to the skull). A couple more days later a pipe burst on the top floor and the whole building flooded.
All this fuckery happened within 2 weeks after the bone was dug up. I wanted to bury it quickly so the craziness would stop, but in the end I discovered that the bag had been thrown out during a general cleanup. So the ghost apparently never found peace.
And I said fuck it to the construction site and bailed to an easier job.
For anyone interested — this building is in Kazan, I think on Sechenova Street (though it might officially be considered Yershova St.), at the very dead end. Next door to the skin and venereal disease clinic, the narcology clinic and the psych ward.
I also happened to be in the psych ward, through the military enlistment office. But that's another story, without any creepy stuff. Except that there were corpses that we conscripts had to carry from the ICU to the morgue freezer.
And I also bragged to the nurses and patients there that I'd had a hand in building the house behind the fence.

Possible ordinary explanations
Suggested by the editor, not the witness. Not a verdict.
- The footsteps could have been caused by wind, settling structures, or animals moving through the unfinished building.
- The string of accidents may have been coincidental or due to unsafe construction practices.
- The bone may have been from an old burial site disturbed by construction, and the ghost story grew from local rumor.
