Grandmother's voice in the kitchen while she was away

Pouring a cold one.
I was about 8-10 years old. I was spending the night at my grandma's apartment. I'm sitting in the living room watching TV. I hear grandma from the kitchen asking what I'm gonna eat. I say cutlets with mashed potatoes. She tells me like wait. And I hear a commotion starting in the kitchen. I sit waiting for my cutlets, hunger is already kicking in. I decide to go to the kitchen to ask about the cooking time. I come in - empty. The kitchen is empty, and clean (which says that nobody fucking cooked in it).
At the moment of realization I hear - the front door opens and grandma comes in. Seeing her I asked - where are the promised cutlets with mashed potatoes, for which I was told to fuck off, because grandma had left 4 hours ago to the housing association to calculate utility payments for the apartments. And she wasn't in the flat and I physically couldn't have been talking to anyone.
